Brand new Audi RS3... and it didn’t even make it to the dealership 😅

This one decided to give up before it had even had a chance to hit the road properly, so we were called in to get it safely to the dealership.

Not exactly the first trip home an RS3 owner dreams of, but at least it got there safely 👌

Not the first drive anyone hopes to have in a brand new BMW X1 😬

This one had been involved in a crash and unfortunately ended up on its roof.

We were called in to recover it and get it safely loaded and moved. A pretty rough introduction to a new car, but thankfully everyone was okay.

Not quite the way you want your trip home from Wangi Wangi to go 😅

This customer ended up in limp mode and needed a hand getting back to Canberra. We picked him up in Wangi Wangi and brought both the car and the boat home safely.

We’re looking for someone who’s fresh to the towing industry and keen to learn. Experience isn’t necessary, as training will be provided. The main things we’re after are a good attitude, reliability and someone who can work independently.

I’m also looking to bring someone new into the team rather than employing someone I already know personally, so this is a genuine opportunity for the right person to get their foot in the door.

Went out for a bit of firewood and came home with a recovery job instead 😂

This customer managed to get a little too bogged while collecting firewood and needed a hand getting back onto the road.

Our off road recovery vehicle made short work of it and had them back on solid ground in no time.

A Kia Rio got a little too ambitious with the gutter and ended up well and truly beached.

Our off-road recovery vehicle was sent in to give it a little pull back onto solid ground. Nothing too dramatic this time just the right gear and a gentle recovery to get it moving again.

We recently spoke with ABC News about something we’ve been seeing more often abandoned vehicles being left across the Canberra region.

There are a number of reasons vehicles end up abandoned, including rising repair costs, insurance issues, and vehicles no longer being financially viable to fix.

One thing many people may not realise is that vehicles left in commercial car parks and private areas can often go unnoticed for longer periods of time compared to vehicles left on public roads.

At Underground Towing and Salvage, we regularly assist with the removal and recovery of unwanted and abandoned vehicles, helping keep Canberra’s roads, car parks and public spaces safer and cleaner.
