Custom suspension setup update .

has been busy getting my custom leaf under setup installed on my ranger with 16” triple bypass shocks.

We’ve managed to get 725mm on the forklift flex test. Next version of the leaf spring should allow another 75 of uptravel.

There’s plenty of travel left in the shocks, will end up bumper and strapped using about 14” of the shock.

The detriment of flexy leaf setups is the extreme forces that are exerted onto the bushes. I’ll need to run a soft bush to maximum articulation, which means they’ll have to be replaced regularly.

I’ve cut a fair chunk of the tub to allow for the wheel travel which will have to be braced and sheet metal tubs made.

Next up on the chopping block. Raptor guards to suit stranded ranger without needing big negative offset.

I’ve taken 25mm out of the flare to end up at around 75mm overall wider than stock.

Modified the front mounting point so it will use the standard ranger. Will also finish flush to match up to peoples existing standard ranger bars.

Tub rack for the bypass shocks is almost done. Tub sides mounted. Slowly ticking off jobs. Won’t have time to get the lower shock mounts full welded for the car builders meet on Sunday.

Going to pull the diff out and truss it whilst I’m there. Leaf under with some big old shackles. Should get my 17” of vertical wheel travel that I wanted. Need to make new wheel tubs as the 37s chew into them at bump 🥴🤦‍♂️ more work

Available for pre order now. Save $1000 plus free fitting in Melbourne. I want to get these panels on a variety of setups (touring, dedicated wheeler, mall crawler, etc) and also make install videos. These panels will never be sold at this price again.

Complete replacement panels. Original tub side needs to be unpicked and cut off. Can use a damaged tub that usually you can get for free. Minimise downtime when swapping over and allows you to keep or sell you undamaged tub.

First post in my new factory, so thought I would try make it a good one.

Test fit of my tub sides, as well as my custom leaf under setup with 16” triple bypass shocks. The leafs are 100mm longer from diff locater to the rear shackle. I tried them with some 165mm extended shackles, but they aren’t long enough to work without any bind. I need to add 25mm extra to the shackle to hopefully get my full 16” of travel.

I also still have 60mm of uptravel I need to achieve. The 37” tire hits the inner wheel well. Guess I’m doing a set of custom tubs now 🤷‍♂️

Introducing Styleworx new line of semi custom production rear tube bars to suit tub chops.

These bars are built to work only with our raised towbar brackets and complete the new look of your tub chopped ute.

Made right here in Melbourne, we use a variety of laser cut sheet metal and 32nb mild steel tubing that is bent and formed to create the aggressive and functional look you were after. We like custom here at Styleworx, so we have multiple options that can be tailored to suit the style of your vehicle, as well as adding multiple options to make this rear bar be more than just an aesthetic product.

The design of the bar allows customers to start with the basic side tubes that bolt to our raised brackets, and then continue to add options to suit their budget and needs. We wanted to keep our design and manufacturing process simple, which allows it to stay an affordable option compared to a full custom product.

Options start from basic scrub rails, to a rear tube step with an aluminum infill, mounts for rear parking sensors, lighting options and number plate mount. Customers can then choose to opt for a rear swing away mount to be added (only works with side rails + rear step option) The swing away can either be purchased later on (Styleworx swing away options due March 2022) or the customer build there own custom swing away.

Photos currently are pre protection sample. Finished product will have an array of laser cut gussets. As well as an aluminium step when selecting rear bar option. A number plate mount will come with the rear bar option, which will have a location for a light to be mounted as well.

Here’s a complete bolt on solution for hilux owners wanting to do a tub chop but don’t have the ability to make a custom tube bar. This bar works with our raised towbar brackets as well as our offset mudflaps to finish off the custom look you were after.

The bar mounts in 4 spots where the original towbar brackets mount. Two forward locations, as well as two 5mm plates that use the bolts for the towbar. This also increases the recovery point thickness to 15mm.

Made out of 3mm 32nb steel tube, sandblasted and powdercoated (multiple options available)
