Earlier this month, we headed out to Valentine Plains to get one of our customers back up and running.

They needed a full set of new injectors, and now old Joe purrs like a kitten again.

Another job knocked over by our amazing mechanic, Nathan 👨‍🔧🔧

A local business, Elite Repairs, was off the road and out of action due to contaminated fuel - meaning they couldn’t get out to service Queensland news agencies.

After diagnosing the issue and carrying out the necessary repairs, Nathan had them back up and running in no time.

Because when local businesses rely on their vehicles, downtime isn’t an option.

🔧 Nathan is the backbone of Steel’s Mechanical & Agricultural Services, bringing extensive hands-on experience across both mechanical and agricultural work. Known for his reliability, problem-solving skills, and strong work ethic, Nathan prides himself on getting the job done right, whether it’s routine servicing, breakdowns, or urgent call-outs in the paddock 🚜⚙️

⏱ How long have you been in the industry?

Nathan has been in the mechanical world since he was a young fella, helping his parents fix broken machinery on their property in Queensland. He attended St Brendan’s College, where he completed multiple certificates through their trade programs. This is where his passion for mechanical work really began 🔧📚

Nathan went on to complete his apprenticeship on a dam in Central West NSW, before returning home to work at the aluminium refinery near Gladstone. He later transitioned into the mining industry, which he continues to enjoy today ⛏️
That said, you’ll still find him on his days off back home - in or under a machine on family properties that they manage 🛠️🌾
