Byford Classic Car Club Presdient's Report 2026.

Welcome everyone and thank you for giving up your time to join us at this yearโ€™s Byford Classic Car Club AGM.

This year has seen a stable and organised Committee, and I would like to thank those who contributed throughout the year. This year has also seen the club experience further growth and we are now over 500 Financial members. There is a lot of work going on for the Committee in plain view and behind the scenes.

We expect to see further steady growth. We have good systems in place and good experience with using our systems and applications.

We, the committee are focussed on having the club under good Administration, helping you, our members apply for concessional licence under what we know as the C4C scheme and planning events for getting out with like minded people, going for a drive and finishing up somewhere so we can lift the bonnets and checkout otherโ€™s cars.

Some of the highlights this year are:
Meet and Greet โ€“ Bi Annual event that will continue, we call it the big one and the next one is in September.
Pasta in the Valley โ€“ great weather, awesome drive, good food and venue with fantastic Company.
Family Day at BDCC โ€“ 3rd time doing this style of event, a big success as members could bring their families and get to know each other with many new faces attending.
SERPENTINE FALLS TAVERN - Dan Duthie Memorial Run โ€“ a big turn out at this one, definitely one to repeat in the future and we can see why this venue is so popular.

The car club project Ambulance, 1978 F100, was found to have structural rust, had an estimated time frame to fix of 2 years and was going to be very costly. We stopped that project and found a replacement 1980 F100 vehicle that is in good order and almost ready to licence, fortunately we were be able to sell the parts from the old project and recovered all of the money spent on that vehicle. The replacement Club vehicle now has a very short list for licencing and is currently being repaired.

The sponsorship program was formalised and we have some great support ongoing, we are working on growth in this area with several targets.

The events program has been formalised and events up to 12 months ahead are being planned and organised. A real focus on improved communications for members was implemented.

We have also finalised a broadening the BCCC Club wear range.

I would like to thank long standing Committee members who are continuing this coming year and those who are outgoing from the Committee Shane, Tunney and myself.

In closing I would like to thank the current and past committee for all their support and efforts and look forward to the continued success of this great club.
Barry Western
President BCCC
