First look at the Vitour Tempesta Sonic 100tw semi slick, in Australia. We are currently sending out all pre orders.

First impression are good!
- Very large outside tread patch
- Impressive tread depth
- Noticeably heavier than the P1, this is due to the reduction in water voids and Kevlar-reinforced construction with a stiffer sidewall designed to manage extreme heat and load.

In testing Vitour ran the sonic at 200mph for one hour, under full load conditions without issue.
Over engineered…. Maybe. But with the increasing amount of high down force aero cars we are seeing, this may be a master stroke.

Im looking forward to testing, and seeing if the Sonic can take the fight to the long standing champion the Yokohama AO50. And if it can, where it will sit between the medium and soft on performance!

The Vitour Tempesta Sonic is a 100tw street-legal racing tyre built to change expectations of what a competition tyre can do on the road. In durability tests, the Sonic survived more than an hour at over 200 mph under full load — a clear sign of its strength and exceptional heat management. On track, prototypes have shown a 1.5–2.0 second per minute gain over the P1 P-01R.
Tested on high-horsepower track cars, the Sonic has repeatedly reset lap times and delivered performance normally expected from dedicated racing slicks.
