Working on a 180sx for the first time has been such an amazing learning curve, and i wanted to share some of the cool things ive found out along the way so far!
-nissan r31 lock barrels are a conpatible replacement! The 180 had no locks when we got it and it was just an empty hole, and as you can imagine lowkey stressed about it constantly. Finding 180 replacements were hard so i turned to chat gpt and was told r31 locks would work! With nothing to lose and everything to gain gave it a go and it worked!
-nissan r31 passo front side seatbelt! Turns out that also works well (kinda). It has a little bit of slack when its fully retracted but keeping the passo safe all the same! Bolted up perfectly tho!
-180 parts are hard to find, has been a mission and a half trackjng down what i can so resorting to the “this in theory would work” method has been alot of fun!
