There are certain vehicles that make the work feel less like preparation and more like preservation.
This 1996 BMW 528i was an absolute pleasure to work on.
With just 108,914 kilometres, this E39 presented with an exceptionally well preserved interior, remarkably clean bodywork and an overall condition that is becoming increasingly difficult to find in a 30 year old BMW.
The original paintwork had plenty of character, but beneath the years of use was an incredible foundation. Rather than simply enhancing the finish, we took the time to carefully work through a 3 stage paint correction, refining the surface progressively to restore clarity, depth and gloss while retaining the character of the original finish.
Every panel was treated individually, allowing us to carefully refine the paintwork and remove years of accumulated imperfections, light defects and surface haze.
The result is a finish that completely changes the presence of the vehicle.
The bodywork now carries the deep, refined gloss that suits the E39 perfectly, with sharper reflections and a level of clarity that allows the timeless BMW design to speak for itself.
What makes this particular car special isn't simply how it looks after being detailed.
It's the fact that underneath it all, this is an exceptionally genuine example.
