We had a repeat customer bring in his hilux after having the dog box removed, leaving it needing some new drop sides to finish it off.

We fabricated and fitted a new set of drop sides, giving the tray a much cleaner and more practical setup. 🔧🛠️

This is exactly why regular caravan safety checks are so important.

This van came in for an inspection, and we found the brake drum had completely split apart. Fortunately, it hadn’t caused any further damage and was caught before it became a much bigger (and potentially dangerous) problem.

We replaced the damaged brake drum, thoroughly inspected the brakes and bearings, cleaned and repacked the bearings with fresh grease, and made sure everything was adjusted and ready for many more kilometres of safe travel.

While it was here, we also upgraded the front gas bottle setup. We removed the twin 4.5kg bottle holder and fitted a new setup to carry one 9kg bottle while still retaining one 4.5kg bottle—giving the owner more gas capacity without losing the convenience of the smaller bottle.

A simple inspection can often prevent costly repairs and, more importantly, help keep you and your family safe on the road.

If your caravan hasn’t had its wheel bearings, brakes, or running gear checked recently, now is a great time to book it in before your next trip.

Another Hiace camper setup sorted! 🔋🚐

This one already had a few parts supplied by the owner, so we went through the entire electrical system, cleaned up the existing wiring, and rewired everything properly to make it reliable and tidy.

We also sorted the DC-DC charger so the lithium battery now charges from the van while driving, as well as from the existing roof-mounted solar.

To top it off, we installed:
✅ Over 200Ah of lithium battery capacity
✅ A large inverter for 240V power on the go
✅ A 240V battery charger for when you’re plugged into mains power or the weather isn’t playing nice
✅ A fast USB charging point to keep phones and other devices powered up

Another old van brought back to life! 🔧🚐

This classic van came to us needing a complete 12V and utility upgrade, and it’s now ready for many more adventures.

Here’s what we completed:
✅ Traced the original 12V lighting wiring back to the trailer plug, removed it, and rewired it correctly to the battery.
✅ Fitted new LED tail lights.
✅ Repaired the water mains.
✅ Installed a new mixer tap with a removable hot water setup and outdoor shower connection.
✅ Added a USB phone/device charger.
✅ Upgraded to a 12-pin trailer plug.
✅ Installed an external solar input.
✅ Fitted a massive 240Ah lithium batteries with external venting.
✅ Installed a 40A DC-DC charger.
✅ Added a 240V battery charger.
✅ Fitted a 3000W Renogy inverter with an external on/off switch and an additional switched cooling fan.
✅ Installed an Anderson plug in the old fridge compartment so the customer can easily fit their own upright 12V fridge.

Everything is wired through a battery isolator, allowing the batteries to remain charged while the van is stored.
When towing, the 40A DC-DC charger keeps the lithium battery topped up through the Anderson plug from the tow vehicle.

It’s always rewarding bringing these older vans up to modern standards while keeping them practical, reliable, and ready to hit the road again.

Nice XE Falcon in the workshop yesterday! 🔥

The owner brought this beauty in for a tacho install, as well as an issue with the park/neutral and reverse switch failing.

The customer supplied the replacement switch, and we fitted it up and correctly adjusted/positioned it to get everything working as it should again. Always good keeping these classics on the road! 👌

Productive day in the workshop today! 👌

This trailer came in with only one working light and no tailgate. We got stuck in and fitted a new tailgate, installed new trailer lights, and added a number plate light ready for registration.

Another trailer back safer, more functional, and ready to hit the road again! 🚛⚒️

Another tidy upgrade on this Galaxy caravan 🔧

We stripped off the old, tired vinyl front and replaced it with durable black checkerplate, giving it a much tougher and cleaner look. To finish it off properly, we also replaced the front boot lid to match.

While we were at it, we sorted out some internal water damage and got everything back into solid condition again.

The end result speaks for itself — and most importantly, one very happy customer, so much so we are replacing more of the internal wood to match the new modern white panel and soon to replace the old worn out bench with a brand new modern style for that new feel.
