5 years ago today we took this place on with about $2,000 and a workshop that ran off scrap bits of paper. No systems. No structure.
Just work that needed doing. It was all or nothing. Within 12 months we had to buy the property. Would you believe interest rates went up three times before we even made our first payment!!
Probably wasn’t the smartest move. Long days and just working things out as we go. Keeping cashflow moving, keeping the doors open… just getting through the weeks.
We’ve had to learn the hard way on how to run a business.
But we got through it.
Now we’ve scaled.
Tripled the turnover.
Built a solid group of locals and customers who keep coming back.
We love raising our kids here.
Bloody proud of the team we’ve got…and still hiring.
5 years in but just getting started.
