**warning this is a long one, but please read to the end**
Hi Chasing the Track fans,
This Easter weekend, we competed in the Formula 500 WA State Title at our home track, and this one meant a lot. It was the first time in my racing career I’ve had the opportunity to race a title on home soil.
After three months out of the seat, the nerves were definitely there. Night one threw a few challenges my way as I struggled to find my rhythm.
Heat results:
• Heat 1: Started 7th, finished 4th
• Heat 2: Started 5th, finished 5th
• Heat 3: Started 4th, finished 6th
That placed me 13th on points after night one.
Back to the shed we went to regroup, fix a few things, and come back stronger for night two, this time focused and ready to fight for a spot in the main.
Heat 3:
Started on pole and finished 4th.
That result locked me straight into the A Main, starting from position 10.
That was the goal and to achieve it at my home track, in front of a home crowd, is something I’ll never forget.
Unfortunately, the final result wasn’t what we had hoped for. With just 1 lap to go in the A Main, a right front steering bolt failed, leaving me unable to steer and resulting in a DNF. Officially finishing 14th.
Motorsport can be brutal like that, but that’s racing.
This weekend wouldn’t have been possible without my incredible pit crew Brenton, Chris, Ari & Dad, you guys are legends. Thank you for everything you put into this.
To my family, thank you for your constant support and for helping with the boys so I can continue to do what I love. It never goes unnoticed.

Now for the part that’s not easy to say…
After 23 years of dedicating my life to speedway, I’ve made the decision to hang up the wings and step away from oval dirt track racing.
It’s time for a new chapter one that sees me trackside supporting the next generation, as we begin the journey of my son’s racing career in go-karts. I’m incredibly excited to share this next phase with my boys.
To the fans who have supported me over the years, whether you’ve been there from the beginning or just stopped by for a chat at the track, thank you. Your support has meant more than you know.
To Mum and Dad thank you for giving me my start in speedway and helping me discover a passion that has shaped so much of my life. I’ll forever be grateful.
And to my wife, Arianne you have been there through it all. My biggest supporter, my toughest critic, and my constant. Through every division, every late night in the shed, every high and every setback, you’ve been by my side. I truly couldn’t have done this without you.

Thank you to this sport for everything it has given me.
This farewell is for now… but not forever.
