A replacement coil can match a drawing perfectly and still fail to solve the real problem.

Because on site, the drawing is only part of the story.

Clearances matter.
Airflow path matters.
Existing piping matters.
Available space matters.
Access for installation matters.
And the way the equipment has actually been operating matters.

For this rooftop replacement, the existing coils were assessed around the actual installation. Dimensions, geometry, connections and fitment conditions were considered before manufacturing the replacement solution.

Sometimes the equipment decides the shape.
These custom-built curved coils are a good example of how coil manufacturing has to work around the actual space, airflow path and configuration of the system they are going into.
For replacement and retrofit projects, matching the physical envelope is only part of the job. The coil still needs to deliver the required cooling performance within that geometry.

When outdoor temperatures rise, a coil designed only around physical dimensions may struggle to reject the required heat.
For high-ambient applications, factors such as tube configuration, fin spacing, airflow and the required cooling duty must be considered together. Two coils may fit the same equipment, but they may not deliver the same performance.
That is why a replacement coil should not be selected by length, width and height alone. It must be matched to the system and its actual operating environment.
*In GCC conditions, correct coil selection protects the performance of the entire cooling system.*
